LAW FOR PHOTOGRAPHERS AT KUWAIT

Here I translate for you the law as i got it from Mr Hussain Al Qarawi here.

We were honored you request for legal advice  on the Freedom of photography and we ask God to reconcile the accuracy of the answer, where we saw the legal modest as follows :


The lesson of the question and it is clear :
Is the rule of photography in public places, tourism and national heritage of a society of Kuwait. Premises are away from prohibited military, security, and the texts of special areas such as Military, Embassies and King Palace.



As for non-prohibited places, security, it should be a difference between two things:

First: If the ownership of public property
We proceed to answer the question as targeted in the texts of the Kuwaiti Constitution and the provisions of the Penal Code of angles with the use of images, whether prepared by him for art collections or use in commercial aspects. 


The text of the Kuwaiti Constitution in Article (14) :
(State sponsors the sciences, literature and the arts and encourage scientific research)


And in Article (32) it also states that: No crime and no punishment except under the law, and punishment only for acts committed subsequent to the law which provided.** Since there was no provision in the penal ordinances criminalizing photography in public places or sights to see and enjoy the view to keep them documented.


Second: If the ownership of private propertyBut if we dealt with the question of split use these images in the commercial aspects of the right of exploitation (private property).It must be touching that, as stated in the text of the law towards the protection of the artistic work:

However, if the pictures are for personal use only no reliance on it for example:
